I have MANY favorite attractions at Walt Disney World. “it’s a small world” will always hold a very special place in my heart, as it was my first ever Disney ride. I always have a blast on Toy Story Mania! with my family; and lately, I can’t get enough of Haunted Mansion and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. I also adore (with all of my heart!) Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This attraction may easily slip off of most guest’s radars, as it is not a headlining attraction, but I truly believe it is not to be missed! For Disney fans old and new, this is an amazing place to journey back in time and get a glimpse into pivotal moments that shaped Walt Disney’s life and career.
Walt Disney Presents begins as a self-guided tour through a gallery of photographs, movie props, theme park and attraction models, and other unique memorabilia. And it ends with Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream – an incredible film that includes audio clips and footage of Walt himself illustrating the journey he took to bring his dreams to fruition. It is fifteen fabulous minutes of heartwarming Disney goodness!
As Julie Andrews so eloquently states at the documentary’s end, “Walt Disney once said ‘I hope that we never lose sight of one thing, that it was all started by a mouse.’ But we know it was really all started by a man, a man with a dream…” I am forever grateful for Walt Disney’s dreams, and his tireless efforts to see them through!
